A close friend today was discussing mobile internet with me. I forced him to when I started ranting today about the fact that Vodafone want to charge you $10 a month extra for 100mb of Internet access on your mobile whilst I can get a whole gigabyte for $19 a month if I use one of those USB sticks. Don’t use Vodafone, they’re just one example of why we’ll be stuck in the dark ages for a long long time. Anyway I digress.

Saturday, November 1st, 2008The Rudd government has somehow, quite successfully managed to cover up their attempts to censor the Internet. Their plan started off as almost a good idea. Provide opt in filtering of objectionable material on the Internet. Sounds great doesn’t it. Parents could rely on a centralised, more efficiently managed filter.

Updated: Webslug featured on Ajaxian

Wow. That’s all I can say after the “blogosphere” lit up last week when Ajaxian featured webslug as the “hot or not of performance websites”.
It’s amazing the amount of buzz, both computer and people generated that a respected blog like Ajaxian can generate. Before I knew it webslug was number one for the term webslug on Google and Yahoo, up from about ten.
